Wake me up
Wake Me Up" is a terrifying short horror film that immerses viewers in a realm of paranormal events and a horrible fate that befalls an innocent girl who accidentally awakens a vicious curse.
A girl named Jena and her single mother move into a lovely old home located in a small neighbourhood in Muharraq. They are unaware of the house's sinister secret: a powerful witch formerly lived in the house and met a horrible end by the Jinn. Emily finds an evil black magic book and an ominous clock while exploring the rooftop. These items are both linked with the witch's terrible past's unresolved force. Emily looks through the book out of curiosity, unaware of the horrible consequences that may follow. She accidentally cuts her finger, causing her blood to run across the pages and unleashing a curse that traps her in a never-ending pattern of psychological torture. Jena experiences a series of terrifying dreams which torment her every night as darkness falls. The alarm clock is her only source of release; it wakes her up every day and momentarily releases her from the nightmare's grip. The days go by, and Jena's emotional and mental strength is put to the test as the dreams get more sinister and the line separating her nightmares from the actual world gets fuzzier. "Wake Me Up" delves deeply into the themes of paranormal vengeance and the vulnerability of the human mind. It explores themes such as black magic, the influence of nightmares, and the certainty of a terrible outcome. With eerie sound effects, dramatic storytelling, and ambient cinematography, the film transports audiences to a race against time as Jena seeks a way out before the jinn aims to make its last claim. "Wake Me Up" is going to make the viewer wonder about the limits between the real world and the paranormal as well as the costs associated with reviving insidious old energies.
